Clover A1c (available in select countries)
||Diabetes Monitoring & Monitoring HbA1c level
The Clover A1c Analyzer is an IVD device for measuring the percentage of Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c%) by the well established method of boronate affinity.
It is able to analyze in both capillary whole blood and venous blood.
The Clover A1c only needs a small blood sample (4 µl) and has a short testing time (only 5 minutes). This makes it the ideal point-of-care testing device.
The Clover A1c Analyzer is an easy-to-use professional device which can be used in hospitals, GP offices, pharmacies and laboratories.
Clover A1c Features & Options:
- Small blood sample: only 4µl
- Fast: test results in just 5 minutes
- Innovative: boronate-affinity technology
- Displays results in %, or mmol/mol or both untis
- Memory capacity: 200 tests results
- Easy to use, no refrigeration
Blood glucose test:
The Clover A1c can test the blood glucose level by semply connecting the Glucose Module.
Transfer test results to a computer:
Use the PC connection Cable (USB) to download and manage the test results via a computer.
Printing test results with the thermal printer:
When the Clover A1c Analyzer LCD display is showing the test result, simply press the printer button and the test result is printed by the thermal printer.
The barcode scanner can be used to scan the patient's information. All the patient's information is stored in the analyzer for future reference.
Clover A1c - Principle of a test:
The Clover A1c test cartridge includes a cartridge and a reagent pack containing the reagents necessary for the determination of haemoglobin A1c, with a collection leg
for blood sample collection.
The reagent pack is pre-filled with a reaction solution and a washing solution. The reaction solution contains agents that lyse erythocytes and bind Hemoglobin
specifically, as well as a boronate resin that binds cis-diols of glycated Hemoglobin.
A blood sample of 4µl is obtained at the collection leg of the reagent pack. The reagent pack is inserted inti the cartridge whete the blood is instantly lysed releasing
the Hemoglobin and the boronate resin binding the glycated Hemoglobin.
The cartridge is inserted into the Clover A1c Analyzer. The blood sample mixture is rotated to the measurement zone of the cartridgen, where the amount of total
haemoglobin is the blood sample is measured by the reflectance of the photo sensor LED (Light Emitting Diode) and PD (Photo Diode).
Then the assembled cartridge is rotated so that the washing solution washes out non-glycated Hemoglobin from the blood sample, thus the amount of glycated
Hemoglobin can be photometrically measured.
The ratio of glycated Hemoglobin with respect to total Hemoglobin in the blood sample is calculated.
